FOLLOW JESUS
Do you ever wonder what it really means to be a Christian? There are a lot of confusing messages out there. We want to help you discover who Jesus is and how to follow Him. We invite you to sit down and talk with us about this life-changing decision
BAPTISM
Baptism is an outward expression of the internal change Christ makes in our lives. Baptism is like a wedding ring – wearing a ring doesn’t cause you to be married; you wear a ring because you are married. Baptism doesn’t save you but it lets everyone know you have been saved. Romans 6 tells us just as Christ has died and has been raised to life, so have you! Baptism represents the death of your old life (going under the water) and the new life Christ gave you through faith (being raised out of the water).
GROWING
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..."(2 Peter 3:18) The next step in growing to be more like Jesus is adopting a habit of Bible reading and prayer. We hope the resources below help get you started on this journey.
HOW TO USE THE ACTS PRAYER MODEL
Adoration: Start your prayer time adoring God for who He is.
Confession: 1 John 1:9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Thanksgiving: We are told to give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Thanksgiving is a powerful tool to transform our lives and deepen our joy in the Lord.
Supplication: This is a big word that means to make a request. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:7-12, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or what person is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone? ...”
